Oh god I've just seen the Lavazza ad, assumed it wd be a US thing only

so sick of the phoney sex voices used on adverts for "luxury" Christmas food

not an ad per se, but the trailer for 'i'm a celebrity...' where dec makes a decision and a woman screams and ant says that that was a good decision is complaint-worthy.

the lavazza ad is terrible but the pimlico plumbers murdering something to the tune of 'merry christmas everyone' is a crime against humanity.

The UK version of the 'V.I.Poo' advert has a caption at the end that reads 'perfect for Secret Santas'. Now a few years ago a colleague got a spray bottle of breath freshener in a Secret Santa, but a bottle of pre-dump toilet spray?!

that sounds like a terrible Secret Santa gift. who wants to open a gift called "V.I.Poo" in front of their beloved co-workers

There's a cutesy mcdonald's ad in the uk on the theme of uh-oh these stupid people are saying there's all sorts in chicken mcnuggets let's prove them wrong jingly jangly twinkly cluck

And it's one of the hundreds in that sort of studied twee post-wes anderson style that's the visual equivalent of the innocent smoothies aesthetic

OK this Xeljanz XR ad where the lady buys a record player and plays records for her young son and dances with him and they drop the needle at the beginning of the runout groove really triggers some weird rage inside of me.

Nationwide is a menace all the way around. they've got a new one with Tori Kelly doing a "soulful" take on the jingle. who the fuck wants to hear that 84 times during a football game? it was bad enough when it was Brad Paisley.

a good commercial, though, is Chris Paul, James Harden, Trevor Ariza and Oscar from The Office singing Backstreet Boys.

I guess Progressive do this too but there's at least some wit and self-deprecation there. Nationwide stumbled into one commercial people sorta liked and now are gonna rehash it for the next 3+ years

Worse than Charity lotteries are:

Charities which soothe you into putting a "bequeathe" in your will. Ooh, carry on the good work so your descendents will benefit etc.

Nothing about how the charity will slap a lawyer straight onto preventing your descendents from selling your house/property (or deciding amongst themselves as to how to divvy it up, etc) and selling it themselves to make sure their 10% is gotten as soon as possible.

It hasn't happened to me, but it has happened to people I know.

Seriously, pass it on. If you/they want to donate to charity from a will, specify! £5,000 lets say. Do Not Mention A Percentage!!!
