Loving Everton's business this summer. Here's an early call - they finish above Liverpool this season.

He literally only said that because they signed Rooney.

Matt DC, Friday, 24 November 2017 09:10 (six years ago) link

Which lol

This is extremely grim. I seem to remember there was a lot of smoke around Robinho back when he was at City, but I also just never really believed that a footballer at his level would ever be convicted.

Matt DC, Friday, 24 November 2017 09:42 (six years ago) link

I seem to remember a lot of optimism for Everton round these parts...

Number None, Friday, 24 November 2017 13:27 (six years ago) link

Carroll is just irresistible to Moyes isn't he?

who says no to mentals? (Noodle Vague), Friday, 24 November 2017 19:11 (six years ago) link

Tbf who would you pick in his stead? This West Ham squad is a disaster

Windsor Davies, Friday, 24 November 2017 19:16 (six years ago) link

Also apparently the baggies approached bilic and he knocked them back? It's difficult to comprehend the lack of imagination and ambition

Windsor Davies, Friday, 24 November 2017 19:18 (six years ago) link

From bilic?

fake pato is kind of racist, dude (darraghmac), Friday, 24 November 2017 19:27 (six years ago) link

the squad is a shambles, and i'm not even really indulging in kneejerk Carrlols, he's just absolutely unsuited to any available ten that'll end up playing behind him

Le Bateau Ivre, Friday, 24 November 2017 19:31 (six years ago) link

xxp both

yeah look i am in no way defending Andy Carroll and his swinging elbows here but once you're down to him and Andre Ayew it's basically a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea. they're fucked no matter what Moyes does. and the continuing presence of Arnautovic would trouble me more if i were a Hammer. so many liabilities in this squad lol

Windsor Davies, Friday, 24 November 2017 19:36 (six years ago) link

Going great so far.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Friday, 24 November 2017 20:08 (six years ago) link

they are the worst team in the division.

Windsor Davies, Friday, 24 November 2017 20:16 (six years ago) link

even Palace with their contemptible Christmas points return have got more about them than this West Ham side. they remind me of the absolute worst days at Villa in 2013-2015. it's not that they're entirely bereft of players, but no one has the least fuckin clue what's going on, the manager least of all

Windsor Davies, Friday, 24 November 2017 20:19 (six years ago) link

West Ham boss David Moyes, speaking to Sky Sports: "It's so important to get the first goal. If we get a goal then we'll get the crowd behind us. If we don't then it'll be tough."

Le Bateau Ivre, Friday, 24 November 2017 20:22 (six years ago) link

Sacked by the middle of next month.

The buttermilk of Beelzebub (Tom D.), Friday, 24 November 2017 20:26 (six years ago) link

tad ambitious maybe but i wouldn't be surprised if he gets the chop when they're at or near the bottom in mid-Feb

Windsor Davies, Friday, 24 November 2017 20:31 (six years ago) link

the promoted sides this season are good enough that at least 2 "established" names are gone. Swansea will be one. West Ham will be the other if they stick with Moyes till the end of the season

Windsor Davies, Friday, 24 November 2017 20:33 (six years ago) link

Le Bateau Ivre, Friday, 24 November 2017 21:05 (six years ago) link

West ham's next manager should be called tad ambitious imo

Whoo! Crystal Palace have won a winnable game!

But doctor, I am Camille Paglia (Bananaman Begins), Saturday, 25 November 2017 16:54 (six years ago) link

My 6-fold acc was killed by Spurs ffs, it was the most odds-on of my selections at 2/9 as well.

calzino, Saturday, 25 November 2017 17:04 (six years ago) link

yeah spurs let my goals galore xtra bet go too

What a goal. No way he meant it but A+.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Saturday, 25 November 2017 19:13 (six years ago) link

shades of Hoddle v Watford, intent notwithstanding

thirst trap your hare (DJ Mencap), Saturday, 25 November 2017 19:18 (six years ago) link

Also good because I had Chelsea and Liverpool as a draw along with Man United, Wolves and Fulham to win in my fourfold today, which I am sure will come as a consolation to any of ye who had money on Spurs.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Saturday, 25 November 2017 19:22 (six years ago) link

party at shari's country pad

imago, Saturday, 25 November 2017 19:26 (six years ago) link

Unsworth looks so disappointed. It’s heartbreaking.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Sunday, 26 November 2017 15:02 (six years ago) link

Everton, Swans and Hammers to go down? That would be something, if Palace could leap over them.

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 26 November 2017 15:05 (six years ago) link

something horrific

imago, Sunday, 26 November 2017 15:11 (six years ago) link

No feelings lost w/ Hammers and Swans tbh. I don't understand what Swans have been even trying to do or build the last couple of PL years. They seem clueless within the luxury of PL.

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 26 November 2017 15:16 (six years ago) link

So keep Unsworth till the end of the season?

The buttermilk of Beelzebub (Tom D.), Sunday, 26 November 2017 15:22 (six years ago) link

that was a truly dismal performance from Everton. Ashley Williams looks like a drowning man

Number None, Sunday, 26 November 2017 15:30 (six years ago) link

just want to post my monthly reminder that Danny Mills is a fucking cock

who says no to mentals? (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 26 November 2017 15:50 (six years ago) link

no need to remind me

imago, Sunday, 26 November 2017 16:16 (six years ago) link

get in! what a fun half that was

Windsor Davies, Sunday, 26 November 2017 16:47 (six years ago) link

great performance from Huddersfield

gonna be tough to hold out though

Number None, Sunday, 26 November 2017 16:48 (six years ago) link

It's only fair they beat City too, after Manu. Loving this.

Le Bateau Ivre, Sunday, 26 November 2017 16:48 (six years ago) link

I'm going to enjoy this until the second half annihilation!
