there was this evil sage tweet that was something like "keep stomping around my room getting so mad about all the sweet dsa pussy krang t nelson must get" that i cant find because he deleted his account but it was the only thing related to krang ive ever found funny

re: krang and Pixelated boat (also Hippo). Half of the time they are just beefing on politics but it can be seen as a cry of pain a lot of the time.

@dril is left politics but he/she is much more careful about tying to anything like an identifiable politics.

not gonna deny they all have classic moments but fucking even the 90th percentile pixelated boat tweet is some warmed up trenchant social commentary

most of my favorite ppl i follow have their own voice like that and not the twitter house style

yeah the sameness of the language and joke structures makes following most of the weird joke guys unfun. i dont really follow any of them and just look @ there feeds when im bored or in the mood for those type of jokes

Did a purge last year, amounting roughly to me following 300, w/ 600 followers. Following 375 now with 805 followers and it feels like a fitting ratio.

I envy how LG - and the likes - can be completely his own person on there, if that makes sense? In seemingly relative anonymity. I've accumulated half of my following I'd say because of me, yet half because of my job and what those ppl expect of me and there's no escaping. It's a tight rope, with "the personal" and "work/what ppl expect" since the beginning. After all these years it's still a pain in the ass to manage and not let rip freely a slag on the pope, say. And this will forever be why I'm ambivalent to twitter and the likes.

Can't imagine what it must be like for ppl more, or actuallly, famous. It must suck so hard.

I know right?! That's how I grew up too. But then we got careers and stuff and had to use that, profile that, for better or worse, too. Idk for millenials the divide probably isn't a thing, simply non-existent because the personal and the public are one and the same? This is where I, as a person in his late 30s, am old now.

I gave 280 a try, but ended up having to mute it last night. I would be fine with it if it was just used to get a few extra characters over 140 to complete your thought but it seems that most people I follow are using it to the fullest capacity.

You see, I don't get this at all. Can someone please explain to me how dril is remotely political? To me, he's just an absurdist parody of people who are so online that they don't know what constitutes acceptable behavior.

dril occasionally references a left twitter or larger news cycle dustup but does it in an extremely obtuse way that generally works on its own as a joke instead of just latching on to someone else's bad opinions.
