srs q: is the success of Supernatural the "biggest" (define how you wish) late-career resurgence in pop/rock history?

Way, way, waaaaaaaay late getting into the first 10 years of Santana's catalogue (I knew Evil Ways and Black Magic Woman and little else), but holy goddamn all of this stuff is furious and beautiful.

Love, Devotion, Surrender is worth hearing too as are the live sets from the tour supporting it. I think Larry Young is among the sidemen back with John Mclaughlin after Lifetime.
Illuminations with Alice Coltrane has its moments too.

Also really liked the 1968 Filmore 2cd when it came out mid 90s. Is that still available.
& the Deluxe versions of the 1st 3 lps which came with contemporary live sets were nice.

I was just thinking how "Santana Panic" would be a good band name.
