i will no doubt watch twin peaks. if its on hulu or netflix. i just didn't care about it before, during, and after like all the peakheads.

i do think david lynch is the coolest. after all these years. i can't think of many american filmmakers i even care about any more. which fits on this thread too!

Art world = the big money big gallery art world?

There's so much great art today, it's just scattered all over the place and can be challenging to find. I rarely go to art galleries because I just don't trust them to have anyone interesting. But I find a lot of new artists who are really refreshing, perhaps partly because they're not part of some bigger scene.
I haven't been keeping up very well but it always makes me feel good when I do. As a fantasy fan, it's always more exciting than anything in film or comics.

Don't really understand the hate for The National but I haven't heard them in years.

One thing I think is truly in the spirit of this thread: people's medical problems, their adventures in finding doctors, their opinions of different hospitals, what procedures they had done, etc. Maybe this changes as you get older? I cannot fucking stand getting trapped into one of these conversations. To me doctors are auto mechanics, I want them to fix the problem so I can be on my way. I'm not going to discuss new brake pads in detail with my friends.

I don't care about most of the things that I ostensibly care about but since I almost never get to bond with others, including close ones, over the things that matter to me the most, I basically care because I need contact.

That the Reformation is supposedly 500 years old as of today. This is just the Educational Comics version of history.

i know a lot of people who talk about their therapist, wearing their "dealing with their issues" like a badge of honor.
