there many reasons why i think cannabis should legal, but let's be real one of the main ones is so i can just go down to the corner dispensary to buy it whenever i want

yeah it's so weird going to a legal states and walking into a store and then coming back NJ and texting my connect a day ahead of time to coordinate some BS transaction.

the one across the street from us has died down a bit, but they are still very busy. I hear that they have moved to reusable glass packaging instead of plastic, which is nice.

2017: I live in a society where cannabis is effectively legal and has been that way for a long time. No spoilers, but the cannabis community in Canada is enormous, organized, and dedicated. I have absolute freedom to support whichever growers and distributors I choose, and I am also able to consider overall customer experience as a part of the product I am receiving.

2018: Quebec police stop'n'search everyone everywhere based on new "driving high" laws, despite not understanding that effects of cannabis are harder to legislate than alcohol. Aggressive "roadside cannabis testing" targets marginalized communities in St-Henri, the east end, and Montréal-Nord. Stop and search also finds guns and other drugs because it constitutes a warrantless search. Quebec government's cannabis shops are only located in affluent areas, not open after 7pm (when people normally smoke cannabis) or after 5pm on Sundays. Quebec's cannabis distribution centres vont être fermés durant la période de la fête nationale... So on national holidays nobody will be able to buy any weed because the employees of the shops will have the day off to smoke weed. No one can grow cannabis. People suspected of growing are raided aggressively. Anyone with 151 grams of cannabis is imprisoned for life.

The war on drugs goes on. The liberal government used legalization as a tool to come to power and have ended up fucking us all by giving more power to provincial police forces and bureaucrats.

For some reason the novice or novalty partakers are always drawn to the edibles and it's like the worst thing for them to do unless they are very aware of dosage which of course they are not. I smoke daily but rarely fuck with them myself.

my wife had a terrible episode w/ a single cookie the other night

i had one from the same batch earlier in the day and for me it just felt like smoking a bowl more or less but she doesn't smoke as much as me so it hit her pretty hard

rec supposed to be on the ballot again here in OH in 2018, i think launched by the same folks who lost in 2015, hopefully they've learned some lessons

i ate half an edible gummy thing on new years day. the effort it then took me to take out the garbage, go do groceries, and cook a really simple one pot dinner was truly herculean

yea i've only had edibles a few times but i strongly prefer smoking or vaping. vaping probably most of all

The great thing about habituation is not only will you learn to perform mundane tasks while stoned but it I’ll actually make the chores more enjoyable

oh i smoke weed a lot, i even smoke shatter at my regular poker game, but edibles always manage to throw me

With all of you who are thrown by edibles. My worst trips have all came from eating the stuff. I've had black outs and even had all sound turn to white noise.

yeah just having "a single cookie" like marcos' wife could mean you've had like 8x the recommended dose

1st time my sis did an edible, I was with her and we had no clue what size a dose was. She wound up needing to take a moment to get her sht together on hiking trail so she sat down at this picnic table. A moment turned into 45 mins or so before she could walk the mile back to the car. Thus was born the term "picnic-tabled".

I have reasonable tolerance, although I've cut down over the last 2 years so probably not what it used to be, a few months ago I had a bad cold and ate a whole cookie and went to bed hoping it would just knock me out, ended up shaking uncontrollably for about an hour. When I got out of bed the next morning I almost fell over I was still so stoned.

Back in the late 90’s I was working part time temp in a huge grocery warehouse . One of my buddies that worked there made cookies he would sell on the side for a few bucks and they were pretty strong as one would get you really stoned. So one day he was just giving them out to people at work and this one new temp who thought he was pro stoner or some shit decided he needed to eat two despite our advise otherwise . A couple hours go by and I hear some commotion at the other end of the building where dude is flipping the fuck out , he convinces someone not in the know to call 911 because by says he was poisoned and is dying . Cops and ambulance comes he rats out the guy that gave it to him and starts naming names of other people that took it. everyone gets fired

they sell 50 dose brownies here - roughly the size of your palm ... i ate a quarter of one once. then i died.

The one I had was 100. I stick with a quarter of one and even that is sometimes too much, sometimes barely does anything

thats the thing that i don't like about them, determining the appropriate dose is too difficult. plus they take too much time. "oh eat 1/2 a cookie and wait 2 hours, then if you want more, eat the other half. then in 4 hours you'll feel great!"

Yeah, couldn't remember the unit and didn't want to inadvertently claim 100g or something which it looks like I kind of did anyway by omission. So yours was 50 doses? How much is a dose?

I'm with you, marcos. I only do them when I have people in from out-of-state and they want to do some, mainly for the novelty factor.
