If "Your Domino" had been the lead single I think there would've been enormous disappointment once the album itself arrived as nothing else even approaches its pace.

Just finished my first listen and I'm really surprised how much I enjoyed this. I loved Midnight, but the other singles didn't grab me that much. Even though it's her most mellow record, I found it so much more instant than Tough Love which took a long time to click (there's a couple of songs that still haven't).

My main complaint is that there isn't enough Paul Buchanan. It's a gorgeous song, I just wanted to hear his presence more.

some interesting collaborators on this... "slow me down" was done w/ the guy who did "love on the brain," "finish what we started" w/ john ryan & julien bunetta of one direction fame

this sounds quite good so far. I'm surprised some of these chordally simple songs have as many as six co-writers.

This album is not good. It is kitschy schmaltz of the worst kind. No tunes, only pathetic ballads. Only good for the waste bin.

i kinda agree. love jessie's personality, and ok the """confessional""" lyrics here, but miss the intimacy (and palette) of her earlier records. this is all very spotlit and vampy.

the best songs are def the ones people have highlighted - "domino" etc. but they lack the rare colour of light i got from songs like "12", "wildest moments", "110%" etc. reading laura's interview in the guardian, maybe what i liked best about Jessie's music was a sound imposed on her from without?

are you serious? there's tons of brass and shiny backing vocals and blah blah blah. something like "midnight" is at times halfway to benny and the jets

(benny and the jets is great! but it's big-show commercial pop music in a way that "110%" abjectly was not

To my ears the sonic imprints haven't changed except by infinitesimal degrees. Horns here or electric guitar run there don't signify anything significant.

They all are but we're talking about degrees here. She's been consistent, eschewing "evolution," thank god. I can imagine getting bored of her, but that's me.

I've been listsening all weekend -- am listening now -- and every time I'm ready to file it away as "This is nice, agreeable" I remember that I was walking around for a lot of 2015 going YOU WERE THE SWEETEST SWEETEST SONG and making Miguel's seal noises from "You and I, Forever."

On the second car play of the album, and like it well enough. Disappointed that "ft. Paul Buchanan" is more of a drive-by than a duet, and surprised that he wasn't utilized more. Maybe there's a proper duet floating around out there?

I saw her live a few days ago for the third time and she's still killing it. she basically brought the house lights up every several songs to chat with the audience

at the show i went to, the woman in this video got brought up on stage during a song break after jessie saw her kind of grooving out dancing in the back doing her own thing. apparently she didn't even know jessie's music before the show and just came with her mom or aunt and friends and was just really feeling it.
