Awesome news!

Peter, I remember years ago you often mentioned a project you were working on independently. In one interview you gave the impression it would be quite a different sort of thing.

Is this still in the works?

The new show incorporates ideas and characters I've been contemplating for a while. I think I've managed to crack the problem of how to bring them together in an accessible, commercially viable product.
It's an ambitious project, on a large scale, and I did not want it to suffer the kinds of compromises that (I regret) caused Aeon Flux to sometimes fall short.

eight months pass...

Update:
I've been plugging away at this full force lately. I am liking the way it is taking shape, and initial signs are encouraging.
It is such a huge undertaking, that it took many months to sort out how to organize the narrative and characters.

I'm hopeful that I will be able to offer more details soon.

Great news Peter, thanks for your updates. I haven't been posting here much in recent years, but I just wanted you to know that I still regularly read this board (as I have now for... wow... 23 years?) and I appreciate your presence here.

Awesome.

Hi Matt. Still seeing prominent greenspun board posters like your self is really cool for me.

I've been around since high school - about 16 years ago.

Getting into the original AF discussions back then had a much deeper impact than any of my school work. It was a big deal for me. I'm super grateful.

And so this unique connection continues. And new work from Peter to come. Awesome.

Brief update.

My treatments have been approved and scripts are being ordered.

That is awesome. Can you give us some vague idea of what a production timeline looks like?

It's impossible to say how long. But there is a lot more time and work involved than most people realize.
