Perhaps strangely, I associate Erlend Oye/Whitest Boy Alive's "Golden Cage" with the death of a cat.

"So of course I miss you and miss you bad
But I also felt this way when I was still with you."

We knew that he was on his last legs and was likely to have a blood clot ... so we kind of grieved for him while he was still alive.

And I was probably just playing the track (I think in a remixed form) around the same time.
