I'm almost afraid to ask this on account that it may prove to be Dead Herring #13435, but is the scuttlebutt on Vartan that he's finally leaving? Cos I'm pretty sure I saw his name on the regulars' credits, and so he's Not Dead, Part LXIX.

he's got to be dead. it was ridiculous enough that he survived all of those bullets long enough to be in hte hospital, conscious, having a baby-naming talk with syd. but yes, this is alias, so who knows.

That reminds me, I was trying to mentally communicate with the shooter to make sure to spray some bullets in his face, just so we wouldn't have this is he dead/isn't he conundrum. Also, to show that Syd really only liked him because of his looks.

I second that. If she's such a superspy why can't she get rid of her ACCENT? All the moonpie mommysisterluv made me green at the gills. Call me coldblooded.
One reason to be hopeful about the advent of Maximgirl is that maybe that means they're going to kill Nadia off.
Maybe Vartan's on the credits because ABC didn't want to be their own spoiler. The ABC Alias site didn't even have a plot synopsis of last night's show.

all of the previews and hype i've seen for 'alias' make it seem a lot like 'la femme nikita', but less sophisticated and tense. can someone do a contrast/compare for me, so that i can decide whether i want to seek out 'alias'?

Come on! She kicked the bad guy in the office chair out the window! That was cool.
The conversation with Renee Rien (Rien? Duh) was excruciating, though. When did they get her? She is way bad and needs to get the zombie disease.

I think I'm done with this show. Beth, I'd ask you to let me know when the show gets better again, but it seems our tastes are divergent. Also the show will never get better again. When did the show forget how to have the fun? I say: episode 1, season 2.
