This album is so great. Reminds me a lot of Sebastien Tellier's My God Is Blue. I'm suddenly hearing so many great albums that are totally reshaping my end of year list.

on first listen was fun guessing the collaborators. First track sounded like a dead ringer for Air circa Virgin Suicides. Mccartney track is a lot of fun

Takes a few tracks to get going, I think, but from "Deadly Valentine" onwards this is quality.

Soulwax remix of deadly valentine is so good

This put a big grin on my face when I first heard the song this morning: the piano in "Dead Valentine" from 0:45 to 0:50 is almost a direct quote from one of Serge's songs I think? Not sure which one though, "L'Homme á tête de chou", maybe?

Right. I'm regretting not putting it higher on my list. I'm playing it every day at the moment.

Has anyone seen her live on the current tour? How is she in concert?

She's not coming here, but the reviews I read were mixed. Some claimed she was a non-presence and others liked it a lot. Would love to see her tho

That's a tune. Not as good as the Soulwax remix of Deadly Valentine, but still a damn fine track

Did the cat ever return home?Anyway, a new collaborative album's just come out
― willem, Thursday, 28 April 2022 07:38 (one year ago) link
I never heard about the cat. Finally ended up listening to this album after “Deadly Valentine” showed up in a playlist. Something I read said the reason she lives in NYC is she came here after the death her half-sister Kate Barry who at least one of the songs in obviously about.
