Thanks, Ned, for organizational prowess!

Always fun to do!

this was fun! ronan's is like some monologue out of film noir and had me giggling. alxtc's and the first helgeson tracks are my immediate favorites. mine is very good, too.

Good work everyone. I'm off to show the next generation how ILX does it:

really liked both matt's songs - real pathos especially in the first one, it sort of made me feel like this was a faintly sad radio documentary about an old man doing an obsolete career.

Ha, the clips in UMS's "For What Its Worth" do have a kind of Studs Terkel "Working" vibe

especially Matt's two bittersweet tracks (I'm pretty sure there's nothing as moving on LG's actual album !)

Listening for this time, I'm welling up a bit ;_;

That Ronan track is amazing

My mp3 player doesn't like the last two tracks, they're in the wrong format, and the Good Capitaine's track has gone AWOL on my laptop, so I haven't heard those yet. All sounding great though, you've all done very well!

there's a soundcloud :P

have been enjoying this a lot. alxtc's one has been popping up in my head at points

Yeah, I'm at work just now, will be able to listen to the whole thing when I get home tonight.

I haven't had the time to listen to this enough so I'm not too familiar with, let's say the second half, but I really like the beginning of the album :
"Walls of Glass" track has a Bowie/Berlin vibe to it with the krautrock approach and the title that go very well together ("wall", "glass", the words ring a bell !).
"Paper Crown" is a good follow up as it also has a Bowie/Berlin feel (more Lodger maybe).
Then Matt's two moody and melancholic tracks and Ronan's creepy cinematographic piece.

i might do a re-record with better sound at some point, now i'm not trying to do it while on holiday.

Listening to imago's track I kept thinking, what does that remind me of? Then I realized he sounds exactly like someone I used to be in a band with, even the song sound like one of his.

he sounds like a fookin legend
