ouch eagles that was p bad

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 10 September 2017 18:23 (six years ago) link

eagles lost their best cb the secondary is a mess now there's no depth at the position.

Mordy, Sunday, 10 September 2017 18:24 (six years ago) link

that's a catch smh

k3vin k., Sunday, 10 September 2017 18:34 (six years ago) link

has a quaterback ever been benched after halftime of the first game yet

frogbs, Sunday, 10 September 2017 18:59 (six years ago) link

Bears D was hanging with Atlanta but just gave up the big one and probably put the game out of reach.

On the Andy Reid coaching skills comments from Thursday, he's a great coach until his club needs to run 2 minute drill. His teams have always seemed to be bad in those situations.

earlnash, Sunday, 10 September 2017 19:19 (six years ago) link

what the heck is going on with cincy?

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 10 September 2017 19:50 (six years ago) link

Bears making it interesting. Howard dropped the potential winning TD. One play to go.

earlnash, Sunday, 10 September 2017 19:56 (six years ago) link

Romo debuted on CBS commentary team for Titans v Raiders today with Jim Nantz...he's not bad! Shades of Chucky, v excitable :D

damn sight better than Ronde Barber but tbf that is an incredibly low bar

Squeaky Fromage (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 10 September 2017 20:00 (six years ago) link

i honestly didn't realize tony romo retired

eagles-racists was a bad game but a good outcome :)

k3vin k., Sunday, 10 September 2017 20:04 (six years ago) link

josh mccown threw 4.8y/attempt and 2 ints and somehow there were at least 2 other qb starters today who were clearly worse than him

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 10 September 2017 20:05 (six years ago) link

presumably automatic ejection for any player committing a foul that wipes a big guy td

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 10 September 2017 20:39 (six years ago) link

seahawks running at < 1y/play in first quarter. that pick 6 would've been p helpful

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 10 September 2017 21:03 (six years ago) link

Hekker is incredible.. he just attempted a punt that folks only do in practice #RespectTheArt pic.twitter.com/PYjrn3y8P9

that is p sick

very weird use of "folks" in that tweet

k3vin k., Sunday, 10 September 2017 22:29 (six years ago) link

mcafee was a punter so i think he's using that to include himself

Roberto Spiralli, Sunday, 10 September 2017 22:34 (six years ago) link

Like those rams unis

"you'll forgive us tonight if we just talk about him as a football player."

Mr. Snrub, Monday, 11 September 2017 01:14 (six years ago) link

it's hard for me to believe the dallas defense is shut out good this year. otoh it is quite easy to believe that the giants offense is trash without OBJ

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 11 September 2017 01:37 (six years ago) link

holy shit @ that Beasley catch. never seen one quite like that.

frogbs, Monday, 11 September 2017 02:47 (six years ago) link

this game totally blows by the way. probably not great for the NFL to have two consecutive primetime duds in Week 1

frogbs, Monday, 11 September 2017 03:05 (six years ago) link

this is one of the worst offensive performances i've ever seen, like people should be fired over this

call all destroyer, Monday, 11 September 2017 03:16 (six years ago) link

there's been like half a dozen truly abject offensive performances today. nfl will have to shrink to an 8 team league to match the available qb and o line talent.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 11 September 2017 03:19 (six years ago) link

too bad there aren't any Super Bowl-caliber quarterbacks just sitting on their hands this week

which other one? the thurs night game was awesome

Spottie, Monday, 11 September 2017 03:51 (six years ago) link

Jason Witten played with Casey Clausen and Travis Henry at Tennessee and was drafted by Parcells. Witten has now had very long career.

I've said it before but i don't think i've met a single person in L.A. who has ever expressed interest in either NFL team, let alone even mentioned them.

Seahawks/Packers was thoroughly lame, though I'm happy with the result obviously

frogbs, Monday, 11 September 2017 15:59 (six years ago) link

naw the hawks/pack game was great, mostly high level play and plenty of incident. the only really bad thing about the game was the seattle offensive line, pictured below

might as well just run with like 8 wideouts and see what happens

Spottie, Monday, 11 September 2017 19:32 (six years ago) link

I cant figure out whats going on there but its funny

David Johnson could be out for most of the season :(

Spottie, Monday, 11 September 2017 19:52 (six years ago) link

and how has seattle not addressed their O line, it's been their weakness for like five straight years.

Spottie, Monday, 11 September 2017 19:53 (six years ago) link

sucks about johnson. that doesn't leave az with much of an offense. jags' allen robinson also probably done for the season and bears' kevin white dead again. on top of eric berry that's a pretty crappy first week for season ending injuries.

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 11 September 2017 20:15 (six years ago) link

achilles injury is the pits. it's zapped my already limited athleticism by like 25%.
