I like the weird cosmic occult horror direction they took with Brule. 2 Wet Crew gets a special shout out, too, their web shorts are like a microdose of LSD. This whole scene is my favorite thing in comedy for the past 10 years.

idk about this, Eric is great but I do prefer "one over-the-top weird guy and one introverted weird guy" to "two over-the-top weird guys"

I'm saying I don't know which one I prefer but I like the format of Tim & Gregg better - T & E stuff often goes off the rails too quickly because every character is always insane

it's also becoming clear to me that gregg is just one of the funniest people alive

I saw him do standup as Neil Hamburger a couple years back, it was legitimately the funniest show I've ever been to

just rediscovered that "Great Phone Calls" album from way way back and it still cracks me up. the bit where he's telling his "world famous" 7-11 joke that just goes on and on and on is so great

saw the last heidecker-hamburger tour and neil's bit about gene simmons got things to the point of feeling that sort of wild chest-hurting panic that we might pass out or die from laughing, it was amazing

i love neil hamburger doing his red hot chili peppers run of jokes
