I wonder if the hammer's going to come down against all 'unofficial' product writ large or just specific cherry picked estates. I feel it could get hairy with lots of new grey area vinyl reissues a la Lilith, B 13, Since 1972, Phoenix, Plain etc

Of those at least Phoenix has been blocked, I think.

I noticed this while browsing the listing for a Robert Fripp boot I already have. Because Fripp is so pernickety about this stuff I initially assumed that he had personally contacted Discogs and told them to take it down. Didn't realize it was a more widespread thing. Anyway someone has posted a message on the release page saying he has a copy for sale so this might be a workaround.

Some REM bootlegs have been blocked but not others. Looks pretty slapdash to me.

It's mostly been going by labels. Some things have previously been blocked piecemeal (one version but not another, usually a mistake.)

I had a No Neck Blues Band bootleg (which I presume they did themselves?) removed from sale a few weeks ago so they seem to working through it quite slowly.

If they're getting rid of No Neck boots then surely everything is destined to go.

weird, when I sort my collection by median value the VU "Caught Between The Twisted Stars" 4CD set still shows up in the top 250 most expensive, even though it no longer lists a median price.

I usually just put a conspicuous "***OUT OF TOWN UNTIL...***" note at the top of my "seller's shipping information" page, and there's no excuse for not checking that before ordering. You can always add something in the comment section for each item (which you can do that for multiple items in your inventory).

People don't check the shipping information though. Someone bought a CD single off me last night, they're in the UK, clearly says £1.35 shipping for a CD single, they then sent me a message asking how much shipping would be.

if you go to marketplace -> inventory you can "unlist" everything and then "mark for sale" when you get back

"Expire All For Sale Items" is what you want. Then you can easily relist all those in one go. It's at the bottom of the Inventory page under "With entire inventory".

Folks still have lives to lead and for many it's not business but just something on the side, so I'd always forgive (and hope to be forgiven for) a day or two or three's delay on messaging. Personally I don't think it's worth de-listing inventory just because I know I'm going to be too busy for online stuff for a few days.
