Please change the title of the North Korea thread

serious question - why do people care about the title? it's obv pretty dark considering but who are we afraid we're going to offend? north koreans?

i would like to avoid the gutwrenching irony of the title if things take a turn for the worse.

also to turn this around, why do people care about keeping the title? they must, because several people have complained and no one every does anything. who cares? why not change it just to shut me up?

A - asking everyone to stop bumping the main north korea thread and to instead bump one of the many other threads to total silence because no one has them bookmarked

B - just change the fucking title, why is this even an issue

C - just make me a mod like i've asked several times, i don't really have beef with anyone, all i do is sit around and look at ilx all day, and it would be my fucking pleasure to change a stupid ass thread title when asked to do it

What are the arguments against having the title changed? Is it for 'history' sake? Clinging to the irony of "still hilarious"? Title change could set a 'precedent' where ilxors flood mods demanding thousands of threads having the title changed? Idgi.

If changing the title decreases the odds of a nuclear strike by even as little as 5% then I still think we should do it

I don't think anyone is against it just some ppl don't care and it seems like the mods are among those ppl?

It would appear so.

Seems like the tiniest of efforts to adjust the ~ilx experience~ for one of ilx' most esteemed users, who takes genuine issue with the title, to just backspace the words "still hilarious". But mods might hold other, more mysterious principles in higher regard.
