yes, a great episode. i was bothered at first by the over-the-top violence, but it served a purpose--these are the lengths rick is willing to go to in order to skip family therapy

pickle rick sounded terrible on paper but worked excessively well as a joke delivery device in practice
the commitment and long term engagement with campy pop-culture ideas puts R&M sometimes perilously close to Family Guy territory but they somehow manage to always save the day with a strong underlying intelligence and a genuine nihilism that rings true

yeah this episode was completely rickdiculous, but that was what made it so damn awesome.

So I put on the latest episode and my mother in law sits down about a minute in, making a big fuss that i not stop whatever it is i wanted to watch. She sat through the entire thing god bless her (she had previously been watching Highway to Heaven).
