Impossible to say whether "Psycho Killer" or "Wishing Well" is the worse crime. I gave them a chance because I try to be open-minded, but no. This is not the vehicle to convert a hata to a non-hata: quite the contrary; I went into it not hating them and came out hating them.

just stopping by as an actual disabled person to say: retard is a slur and if you try to justify tossing it around casually you're an ableist piece of shit, no fucking excuses, no whining about "pc culture" or whatever (and tbqfh mods should have done more than just removed it from the title, they should have actively pruned the posts laughing about it or deleted it and let a new BNL thread happen)

Like as if putting [REDACTED] makes it less sneery + disablist somehow. Some fucking mods on here are more concerned about the welfare of anti-Semitic oxygen thieves, rather than garbage threads causing grave offence and hurt towards disabled people. I tried to find the best solution for everyone on this board. You do realize that we mods get yelled at just as much for locking "classic threads" as for not locking them, right? We switched the title twice according to user suggestions in an attempt to find a workable middle ground. Apparently both of those workarounds continued to offend. We have many ilxors with mentally disabled family members, myself included. Some people are going to be more affected by words than others. We probably all try our best to treat each other well and not to be assholes.

Calzino, my concern about the poster who got banned two weeks ago was for their mental health, which is something you purport to care about if I'm reading you right. When I learned that their antisemitism had been established over a number of years and was not some recent development as a result of a mental break, I gave up on the issue completely.
