Who else did you hear play there?

Highlights for me apart from Gwenan and Jane Fitz were Hieroglyphic Being, Rick Nicholls, Patrice Scott, Leah Floyeurs and DJ Bus Replacement Service.

Great record, when I bought that I bought it from him directly and he mailed me 4 copies. I mentioned this to someone I knew, and the same thing happened to them too. He must have been sat on a garage full of them

― Well bissogled trotters (Michael B)

have to ask - is *that* dfa the italian area knockoff from the '90s? cause that's the one i think of.

was listening to satoshi ikeda's 1992 album "a love supreme" and was surprised when track 7, "fall", turned out to be a 12 minute house number. i haven't heard a lot of what happened with city pop in the '90s and i hadn't heard it going blatantly house before. it's definitely crossover stuff, likely nothing that would impress a purist, but i liked it a lot.

There's another good version of that too. I think i had made the mistake of writing him off for some reason. Never write anyone off, even Andy Carroll you just never know

clear records stuff still sounds amazing! though like a lot of 90s stuff some of it is too speedy to work with modern stuff

you can still get it for cheap too
