I move to vote on the top "50 Emo Songs That Don't Suck"
It's undoubtedly needless, overkill, and a waste of ILM server space (what isn't?) but what else are we going to do, drunk and in front of the computer, reflecting on our younger, more naive days as angsty children? This thread has to be pissing off at least 98% of ILM so we might as well run it into the ground in hopes of pissing them off that much more. Oh wait, no one cares.
It's totally emo to vote on the top "50 Emo Songs That Don't Suck"

I'm A Loner, Dottie, A Rebel
sometimes i think this song is singularly responsible for most of the emo we have today, and not just the long songtitle that doesn't have anything to do with the actual lyrical content. hoo boy.

Yes! This is also the song that started my own weakness for some emo, notably many of the songs mentioned here; surprising because usually I disagree with these kind of threads.

Is this song really early enough to have had such an impact, though? Was it really that different?

I'd also like to add Alkaline Trio's "Queen of Pain" and second "What Would I Say To You Now."
