"worse"

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:36 (nineteen years ago) link

i think i retract my apology.

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:36 (nineteen years ago) link

this thread gave me a flashback to college during that 'first day of warm weather' when all the girls immediately bust out the suggestive clothing..

Sometimes on these days, I make sure to take the route to work that goes through Northwestern U.

i saw the hottest girl ever at NU last summer. she was wearing a poofy white skirt and a white blouse. i mean white-white. it was blinding. and awesome.

FLIMSY HIPPIE ASS SUNDRESSES ARE STUPID AND LAME.
-- Allyzay Science Explosion (alk210...), August 10th, 2004. (later)

Sorry, Ally, but you are incorrect. Sundresses are hot in general, but I will do anything for a girl wearing one of pale yellow. So beautiful. So see through.

Ian c=====8 (orion), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 01:51 (nineteen years ago) link

Dude, I think amateurist is right though, skirt+shirt is way hotter, and hotter still are those geisha girl dresses.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 01:52 (nineteen years ago) link

Dud dud dud. It's usually ultra-skinny, flimsy girls wearing them anyway.

C0L1N B3CK3TT (Colin Beckett), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 01:55 (nineteen years ago) link

I guess I don't dislike the sundress as much as I dislike all it implies.

C0L1N B3CK3TT (Colin Beckett), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 01:55 (nineteen years ago) link

Dude, nothing beats a pale yellow sundress; sorry. Skirts are hot, I guess, depending on the length/pattern/style. Some women can pull off long flowing hippy skirts whereas others should show as much leg as possible. The geisha girl dresses? I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about.

Also, I'm kind of disappointed this hasn't turned into a picture thread yet.

Ian c=====8 (orion), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 01:56 (nineteen years ago) link

And by "all it implies", I mean "Mischa Barton".

Long skirts are kind of dud like 9 times out of 10 IMO.

what i'm talking about:

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:00 (nineteen years ago) link

If I could actually find something that looks like that American flag "sundress" I'd be all for these bastardized versions of sundresses:

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:04 (nineteen years ago) link

Those dresses are hot, you are correct. Especially the ones with the low cut neckline beneath the collar.

"Ein Fim von Wong Kar-wai"

These dresses are also hotter than sundresses, cos they button all the way up, it is kinky:

These are hot too because you just untie the back and bam full frontal nudity:

The model looks like she's molded out of plasticine, and her calves are TO DIE FOR.

x j e r e m y (x Jeremy), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:11 (nineteen years ago) link

isn't the whole point of dresses being able to bang without getting undressed?

Ian c=====8 (orion), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:11 (nineteen years ago) link

like homosexuals in union suits, Ian.

x j e r e m y (x Jeremy), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:13 (nineteen years ago) link

Sometimes but you must admit the "accident" possibility of untying or popped buttons makes those dresses more alluring than sundresses, who do NOT have such a possibility for "accident". Unless like the subway wind tunnel effect causes skirt rises, which happens to me constantly.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:13 (nineteen years ago) link

the button up dress looks like a raincoat: not sexy.

Ian c=====8 (orion), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:14 (nineteen years ago) link

Unless you have flasher fantasies.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:16 (nineteen years ago) link

i'm too easily aroused; practically any dress that shows anything gets me.

latebloomer (latebloomer), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:19 (nineteen years ago) link

i don't think most girls cd pull off the maggie cheung chinese dress thing though. i think the skirt/blouse combo is more democratic.

|a|m|t|r|s|t| (amateurist), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:19 (nineteen years ago) link

i have an amish fetish

gygax! (gygax!), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:20 (nineteen years ago) link

Raincoat with nuthin' under it but undies how is that NOT sexy?

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:21 (nineteen years ago) link

if it's admission time:

I have a grass skirt fetish,
I have a soccer shorts fetish,
I have a surfer grrl fetish,
I have a telephone operator fetish
I have a waitress fetish,
I have an art-school girl fetish,
and all of these trump my flimsy summer dress fetish.

x j e r e m y (x Jeremy), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:23 (nineteen years ago) link

I basically only deal in two looks, "naughty librarian/secretary" or "unshowered indie fuck in ironic t-shirt".

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:25 (nineteen years ago) link

Raincoat with nuthin' under it but undies how is that NOT sexy?

what if it's an unflattering cut or color? i mean really Ally, think about it...

gygax! (gygax!), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:25 (nineteen years ago) link

Raincoat with nuthin' under it but undies how is that NOT sexy?

Osmosis, Allyzay, needs to take place through a semi-permeable membrane, and a raincoat is more than semi-permeable. It would not be sexy, it would be like a genital sweat-lodge inside an (aptly-named) slicker, with enough odiferous hotness to float a zepplin.

x j e r e m y (x Jeremy), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:26 (nineteen years ago) link

ok, google helped me out:

It's my goal to have a girlfriend who wears sexy dresses by the beginning of spring.

Ian c=====8 (orion), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:35 (nineteen years ago) link

ok, how about a link?: http://www.maggie-gyllenhaal.net/coppermine/displayimage.php?album=18&pos=1

Nice kicks...

ModJ (ModJ), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:40 (nineteen years ago) link

so am i mistaken or is this thread now just ally and a bunch of pervy dudes?

|a|m|t|r|s|t| (amateurist), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:41 (nineteen years ago) link

ally is a pervy dude in a woman's body.

Ian c=====8 (orion), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:41 (nineteen years ago) link

Welcome to the pervclub, amateurist. Make yourself at home. Gag-ball?

x j e r e m y (x Jeremy), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:43 (nineteen years ago) link

Ian is OTM

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:44 (nineteen years ago) link

Anyway YES if the raincoat is an ugly color, like for example green, then it'd be awful, obviously.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:45 (nineteen years ago) link

is there a name for the dress that maggie wears in that photo?

|a|m|t|r|s|t| (amateurist), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:46 (nineteen years ago) link

That does not appear to be a dress to me. It appears to be a blouse and a pencil skirt, both black.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:46 (nineteen years ago) link

i meant to write skirt.

|a|m|t|r|s|t| (amateurist), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:47 (nineteen years ago) link

xpost

pencil skirt! aha. ok i'll go back to perving in silence.

|a|m|t|r|s|t| (amateurist), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:47 (nineteen years ago) link

Yes. It is a pencil skirt. I find those to be the best of skirts and own many, many of them though they are a bit inconvenient for every day casual wear to be honest.

That was exactly the type of look I was thinking of when I said skirt+shirt ist besser als sundresses!

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 02:48 (nineteen years ago) link

Pencil skirt + seamed stockings = X
