At first I was wary, but now that I've lived in London for almost two months those clan-of-the-cavebear-esque boots that every girl in sight wears are starting to look comfortable and appealing. (See PinkPanther's boots upthread for visual representation).

my new, much longed-for white clark wallabies give me blisters something awful. isn't the comfort factor a major reason to wear clarks? does this get better? anyone with clark experience want to comment?

kate, i just got some ballet flats that are real flats with rubber soles by rocket dog. i got them at a store in camden, but i assume they're available everywhere.

also, i'm with you on the comfort thing. my best purchase last winter was a pair of birkenstock boots. sounds sketchy, but i think they look nice. they're black dressy boots, flat, with birkenstock insoles. much more comfortable than other boots i've tried, and they look much more dressy than trainers or other boots. they were pretty expensive, but it was worth it, and they're holding up very well.

If anyone knows a location for pale pink shoes pls inform. I saw some in topshop which were pale pink with glittery bits!!! but they were only left in size 3. this is a chiz.

Arrrgh I am dying of unrequited love for rocket dog shoes. Unrequited in that they FALL APART on me in nanoseconds and they're not so cheap that I can keep feeding my desire for them.
