well, first, the friends of Diehl don't even know Wayne so the chances of him finding the thread are very thin. and then, our thoughts about him have evolved a lot along the thread and he comes off as a fairly nice guy compared to the others, no ?

that said, it's true that it was more harmless (and arguably, more fun) when we had no idea about these people. when they weren't "real".

i agree. there has to be some sort of end to it, closure if you will. we cant go on endlessly speculating, even if that was the most fun. we'd sort of gotten to the end of the line given what was revealed in the original picture.

it's not just laughing at their appearance, it's the whole art of people watching. it's laughing at what you speculate is their entire motivation and raison d'être!

I think the Bill thing came from the fact that one of the photos with him not in it was captioned "Where the hell is Bill?" or something, but it's not 100% positive that he's the Bill missing from the pic.
