My line of thought is that I bought my last iPhone 3 years back and I did want a new one, so I'll get an 8+ and wait at least two years for whatever inevitable weird problems the X has/creates to be addressed. Also I had banked enough for what I figured the X costs so hey, bonus.

so face ID - somebody who has your phone (let's say a cop) can just point your phone at your face and it'll unlock?

I never enabled fingerprint unlocking, I'm sure as hell not enabling this
