Part of my problem is that I have to do a lot of things myself. It takes so much time. Julio Iglesias is coming to Mar-a-Lago, but I have to call Julio, I have to have lunch with Julio. I have Pavarotti coming. Pavarotti doesn’t perform for anybody. He’s the highest-paid performer in the world. A million dollars a performance. The hardest guy to get. If I call him, he’ll do it—for a huge amount less. Why? Because they like me, they respect me, I don’t know.

Is he going to be remembered as the worst thing ever? Would be deeply ironic if he just got forgotten but then people wouldn't learn from history.JUst hope his wrongness doesn't get outdone shortly after he dies painfully, choking to death on a shagpile carpet would be fitting, though too redolent of Elvis. But fingers crossed he doesn't act as a harbinger of things to come.
Just would be so funny if he went to all this bother and wasn't remembered in 20 years time.

Boy per the NYT, this is something:
Pecker has just given us a very detailed description of Jared Kushner walking him into Trump Tower, and then into Trump’s office, shortly before Trump's inauguration as president. In the office were four noteworthy people: James Comey, Sean Spicer, Reince Priebus and Mike Pompeo. Into that tableau walks Pecker, to be asked about Karen McDougal by the president-elect....Pecker says that in front of Comey, the head of the F.B.I., Trump thanked him for purchasing the stories — and likely committing at least one crime in the process, as Pecker well knew. It's of course not clear what Comey heard. But this is a wild, wild scene we are hearing about.
― Ned Raggett, Thursday, 25 April 2024 17:14 (twelve minutes ago) link
Plus this:
Seemingly important question here, as prosecutors ask David Pecker whether Trump was concerned about his wife or family finding out about his alleged affairs when he was campaigning for office. Pecker responds no. This suggests that Trump’s worries were electoral, not personal.
