How are people post high quality pixel art on Twitter? Whenever I upload a gif or a png it just ends up getting dithered and loses all quality. Any one know the trick?

is it a moving image or just a still? if it's a still, use a jpg

gifs are limited to 256 colors, so you never want to use them if you're aiming for high quality

if it's a moving image and you want high quality, you should upload some sort of movie file (.mp4 or .mov, for example)

Thanks, apparently it's also to do with how Twitter resizes some images. Seems that using something like 800x800 works okay.
