paraphrasing a deadspin comment but, the dolphins managed to sign a qb who doesn't care enough to avoid signing a qb who cares too much.

eh I'll defend them on that one. Cutler's worked with Gase in the past and IMO he's a better QB in that system than Kaepernick would be. the fact that Kaep doesn't have a job right now is still insane though.

given how dismal cutler has been all season, and how much better he was last night, you can credibly concoct a scenario where gase looked ahead to this season, brought cutler in, and planned everything around winning this one game. a game that miami always wins.

JC has had a couple other good starts. Really, he has been about as good as ever has been overall which is mediocre/middling.

He is definitely not the basement.

Cutler's a second-rate Favre who never really had the benefit of playing on a great team. for all the grief Chicagoans gave him I thought he had a lot of really good games w/ them.
