Yup, it's a stellar album. Gospel is also very good, "I Was Born in the Dark" is a master class in songs under 150 seconds that nevertheless cram in a dozen musical twists xp

Don't think it even got nominated by Mama, I'm Swollen was a way underrated LP with like 4 knockout songs on it. My favorite post-Ugly Organ Cursive album

until very recently i preferred gospel. i go back and forth. fireworks were the first modern pop-punk band i really fell in love with xp

"even strangers are asking you / 'what the hell is wrong with him?'" on "one more creature dizzy with love" just kills me

I can't believe they didn't include a version of the title track, what a gorgeous song that is

i programmed a version of the album where the title track is the opener. makes it a masterpiece imo lol

(i think potentially they wrote and recorded the title track after turning in the album. heard that somewhere)

I was soooo excited for this to come out and didn't really know what to make of most of it when it did. One of the first albums I can remember to just totally confound my expectations.

I loved "Helena" so much! "Hang 'Em High" is one of my favourite deep cuts from Three Cheers.

Okay, checking in again: I voted for no less than three Dismemberment Plan records. This is one of them. For some reason Change is a night time album for me, I've played this for years after coming home from the pub/shows. It's one of my favourite come-down records.

I can definitely hear that. Even in its relatively manic moments it has a zen quality.

Yeah, whereas Emergency & I is the opposite of that, it's frenetic, nervous, yet danceable.

Not to mention ...Is Terrified
