Tbh I've never listened to a whole Jawbreaker album but "Chesterfield King" is the best song ever.

could only bring myself to vote for 24hr Revenge Therapy itp but their other albums are all great too

it placed yesterday but shouts out to the broken-ass guitar solo on rilo kiley's "spectacular views"

(xpost) Yeah I didn't vote for any Jawbreaker but 24 Hour Revenge Therapy was always my favourite - one of those cases of a record really striking the right balance between the sounds of the albums either side of it. I guess it will place pretty high up?

its not on this album, but its fun to sing "Kiss the Bottle" as "Kiss the Butthole"

my wife introduced me to Left & Leaving, which I voted for... previously I had always thought they were too wimpy emo for me and was pleasantly surprised

Hi, another dutch northerner and Elite fan calling in :) Haven't listened to it in 10+ years but will put it on tonight. It's sort of an anomaly (and definitely the peak) in their oeuvre.

fun emo fact: I went on a date in Ottawa with a girl who freaked out that I knew who the Hotelier were, we bonded over shared emo loves, had what seemed to be a v nice time, and then I never saw her again until a few months later when she was out walking with some dude she was definitely dating. the end

Saves The Day - good but i dont think i like the vocals
The Promise Ring - omg omg. I am so in love with this sound + vox. Weirdly they sound a bit like mid-late 90's Australian grunge & therefore I'm in heaven.

I used to really like this album but I havent heard it in years.

Voted for a different Death Cab but this is a cool record i think i'd feel much stronger about if i had heard it earlier in life
