Pathetic.

according to the lovers of polls, this settles the question

worm? lol (J0hn D.), Thursday, 30 April 2009 01:09 (ten years ago) link

The question being: Are ILM poll-takers tasteless morons? The answer: Most certainly.

Alex in NYC, Thursday, 30 April 2009 02:14 (ten years ago) link

We tasteless morons also like to dance.

(I'm particularly impatient with Nick Cave after watching his performance in the Leonard Cohen "I'm Your Man" thing: he needed a wet mop in his face)

the fact that this wasn't 5 to 1 sorta disappoints me.

iatee, Thursday, 30 April 2009 02:37 (ten years ago) link

I imagine if mj didn't have 'character issues' people realllly wouldn't have any excuse

iatee, Thursday, 30 April 2009 02:38 (ten years ago) link

i kinda want to do a jackson vs killing joke now, just to see AINYC's reaction to the results.

Hooray!

Sacco, Vanzetti, Passantino... (Tom D.), Thursday, 30 April 2009 09:38 (ten years ago) link

how different would this exercise be if Quincy Jones had produced Nick Cave?

peepee, Thursday, 30 April 2009 12:00 (ten years ago) link

And Blixa Bargeld had played guitar for Jacko?

Sacco, Vanzetti, Passantino... (Tom D.), Thursday, 30 April 2009 12:07 (ten years ago) link

Considering the artist's respective sales, I reckon the Goth vote held up pretty well.

Preferred Cave well before MJ's 'character issues' started to show, don't need an excuse. Up for Cave's Quincy Jackson album though. Blixa/MJ, not so much.

They played this one at the goth club some weeks back and I was like "man, these people know how to choose a particularly stellar all-time-best Nick Cave song". You folks who like Tom Waits, I want you to look me in the eye and tell me why you don't like this.

So when is there going to be a Crime and The City Solution vs. Nick Cave poll?

xhuxk, Sunday, 3 May 2009 04:06 (ten years ago) link

Aww...actually I don't know if I even owned a Crime & The City Solution record. I did own one of those ex-Bad Seeds records, but I don't think it was them.

Is Alex in NYC 14?

SQUIRREL WITH A PEOPLE FACE (╓abies), Sunday, 3 May 2009 12:13 (ten years ago) link

I don't like Crime and the City Solution as much as Bad Seeds, but These Immortal Souls are on-par.

Reverse the digits.

Michael Jackson sucks and, therefore, you suck for liking him.

Alex in NYC, Sunday, 3 May 2009 13:08 (ten years ago) link

nine years pass...

I wasn't wrong.

Alex in NYC, Thursday, 10 January 2019 22:11 (eleven months ago) link

what would be more enjoyable? Cave covering 'Jam' or Jackson covering 'No Pussy Blues'?
