I thought Wycombe had a few more famous cup runs, but it is probably part encroaching senility and all L1 clubs look the same to me these days :p

calzino, Saturday, 28 January 2017 17:12 (seven years ago) link

they really should try to sign somebody just to give the place a lift tho - i mean assuming there's a good option available, which there may not be.

― Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 28 January 2017 14:48

Yeah, its hard to get players in January. Klopp said recently that the players he wanted are not going to be sold by their clubs

Did Welbeck just work a Salt Bae tribute into his celebration?

lol @ mane missing the pen that gets him back to Liverpool

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 28 January 2017 21:50 (seven years ago) link

Took Mrs DC to a Spurs game for the first time today and it was a decision that paid off in the end but god that was a grim first half. Would have thought Sissoko might have found his level but apparently not.

Ade Akimfenwa is the single least mobile footballer I have ever seen and yet weirdly terrifying every time he waddled in the direction of the goal.

Matt DC, Saturday, 28 January 2017 23:14 (seven years ago) link

i was half joking before but carter-vickers rly must be a caulker clone making a box challenge that moronic. unpunished!!!!

Happened to be in Oxford yesterday, LOL Newcastle.

if Wycombe had held on yesterday would've been the most magic of the cup Saturday i can remember ever

Onanisi Paizuri (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 January 2017 13:41 (seven years ago) link

Fellaini and Schweinsteiger in midfield today. Worth keeping an eye on

Number None, Sunday, 29 January 2017 15:08 (seven years ago) link

Leeds juniors down to ten and eight minutes away from being knocked out by Sutton.

Bubba H.O.T.A.P.E (ShariVari), Sunday, 29 January 2017 15:41 (seven years ago) link

good work Sutton. Now to savour some of the bleating on radio leeds - best fa cup 4th round in years!

calzino, Sunday, 29 January 2017 15:53 (seven years ago) link

"Leeds juniors" not really though! only three raw kids starting and one on as sub

Onanisi Paizuri (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 January 2017 16:31 (seven years ago) link

What are the fans singing? It's the same song that was being sung at the Leicester game I'm sure.

PressAnarchyToContinue (Ste), Sunday, 29 January 2017 16:42 (seven years ago) link

Schweinsteiger to Fellaini. Textbook

Number None, Sunday, 29 January 2017 16:45 (seven years ago) link

Kevin Amankwaah was v popular at Exeter, there was a good song about him which rhymed his surname with "tractor".

I feel bad for Matt Grimes, who seems to be having a terrible time at Leeds.

arron banksy (cajunsunday), Monday, 30 January 2017 19:30 (seven years ago) link

I don't think they will let Mooy play, but nothing special at the moment and we owe them bigtime for that 10-1 defeat in the 80's that was televised on MOTD.

calzino, Monday, 30 January 2017 19:31 (seven years ago) link

a 10-1 defeat in which Supermac protested that two of them were offside and changed the course of the game.

calzino, Monday, 30 January 2017 19:44 (seven years ago) link

Man City did recently let a £12m signing play(+ he did score) against them in the CL while on loan at Celtic, so maybe a chance they will let Mooy play. who knows.

calzino, Monday, 30 January 2017 20:08 (seven years ago) link

Was hoping for more premier teams to be playing each other, so that the smaller clubs get through, is the draw configured so that doesn't happen? Or could that have been possible?

PressAnarchyToContinue (Ste), Monday, 30 January 2017 23:38 (seven years ago) link

it's all abut the hot and cold balls

Number None, Monday, 30 January 2017 23:40 (seven years ago) link

they do fish about with those balls, it always seems like bullshit every year.

calzino, Monday, 30 January 2017 23:44 (seven years ago) link

two weeks pass...

This is all endearingly hapless and stupid so far.

Matt DC, Sunday, 19 February 2017 14:30 (seven years ago) link

can't believe how much the BBC commentators are flattering a fairly pedestrian Spurs, they sound like parents at a kids' game

Nice that Berbatov has taken time out of his job working in Next to appear on the panel though.

Matt DC, Sunday, 19 February 2017 14:58 (seven years ago) link

I heard a Fulham fan on 5 live the other week calling them the "Barca of the championship". Anyone coming out with that kind of shit deserves a good shoeing.

calzino, Sunday, 19 February 2017 16:17 (seven years ago) link

Both surrounded by tapas bars, makes sense.

Is the United Blackburn game as comedic / aggy as it sounds?

Matt DC, Sunday, 19 February 2017 17:41 (seven years ago) link

pretty boring tbh

sweet finish by Zlatan tho

Number None, Sunday, 19 February 2017 17:58 (seven years ago) link

Sutton/Arsenal v Lincoln City
Tottenham v Millwall
Middlesbrough v Huddersfield/Man City
Chelsea v Manchester United

nice

Someone at the FA is desperate to keep Wenger in a job for another season.

Eats like Elvis, shits like De Niro (Tom D.), Sunday, 19 February 2017 19:15 (seven years ago) link

wenger has nothing to gain from beating sutton and lincoln, everything to lose

spurs/city/chelsea/utd sorting them in the semi would be another death-knell though
