ep2: yeah i'm def into this now, but voiceover sux harder and harder everytime. at the very least they could build up the, i dunno, culture of the gossip blog and how everyone's digging it or something cos right now it is just completely irrelevant. also, bizarre disconcerting bit halfway when it stops commentating in realtime and previews what's about to happen later??!

i haven't watched it yet but im guessing it will go something like b is mean to s and s is all 'quit it, b!' and d cant believe s is giving him the time of day and n cant believe s isnt giving him the time of day and b is all 'quit looking at s, n!'. meanwhile, c is date raping the rest of the alphabet.

i like that people are so casual about cell phones now that they just throw them in the garbage as symbolic gestures

I love Serena and Dan, obviously, and Chuck and Blair for their sheer dastardliness - though what is up with some of the crazy Blair outfits? Ill-fitting blazers, weird Primark-esque white lace ugmo dresses?

re: Nancy Franklin: yeah, she's just a bad writer. it's not the slang itself so much as the way she deploys it. and that article is totally representative of all her articles i.e. totally devoid of insight!
