feel like the Texans scoring a TD requires stars aligning in ways that they never align
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 01:40 (seven years ago) link
awful drop
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 01:43 (seven years ago) link
if Houston thinks they're gonna win this game with all dump-off and underneath passes they are naive as fuq
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 01:45 (seven years ago) link
holy shit dion lewis
― FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 15 January 2017 01:48 (seven years ago) link
I hate the patritos so much.
― DJI, Sunday, 15 January 2017 01:52 (seven years ago) link
christ, Texans can't even score a TD on a short field.
Simms going out of his way to insinuate they're doing better this week but he's so RONG, this is typical Texans, settling for field goals all the damn time.
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:03 (seven years ago) link
wow holy shit.
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:06 (seven years ago) link
just kick the field goal now, Texans
oh man
wtf pats
― FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:06 (seven years ago) link
hahahaha the mic picked up a Patriot screaming "oh, SHIT" on the fumble
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:07 (seven years ago) link
wow that was nicely designed
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:08 (seven years ago) link
houston hello
― johnny crunch, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:08 (seven years ago) link
so sloppy
― FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:09 (seven years ago) link
Simms was talkin about how the Patriots never turn the ball over while a stat showed they lead the league in fumbles on kick returns and punt returns
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:10 (seven years ago) link
like ok sure their core offense doesn't, but that dude loves forcing narratives regardless of what the facts actually say
right that was how cyrus jones lost his job as returner after messing up a couple.. and the next guy up also fumbled one (was that amendola? don't recall)
― FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:13 (seven years ago) link
of all the games I didn't expect to get exciting
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:14 (seven years ago) link
problem w/ Miller is he isn't an explosive back, he's just a dude that will get you consistent yardage which is good if you're a ball control offense that can move the chains consistently, but not when your linemen or receivers get penalized all the time and your QB can't convert third downs like ever.
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:18 (seven years ago) link
Still doubt Houston is winding up with 20 at the end of this
― frogbs, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:19 (seven years ago) link
#boom
― FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:22 (seven years ago) link
xpost considering they've had three drives begin in Patriot territory and two that started in FG range and they scored a whopping ten points on those drives, I would agree
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:23 (seven years ago) link
Houston's d could win this game tho if they keep playing lights out like this.
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:24 (seven years ago) link
Yea reminding me a bit of the AFC championship but Houston still needs to score like 10 more points at least and their offense looks like a 3-and-out machine
― frogbs, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:27 (seven years ago) link
Thats like the 3rd dropped pick by the Pats today
― frogbs, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:28 (seven years ago) link
Osweiler bro there are some QBs good enough to thread a ball between four defenders but you ain't it. know your role, foo.
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:29 (seven years ago) link
xpost I am thinking the defense will actually need to score
they reminds me of the 2000 MIami Dolphins w/ Jay Fiedler and Lamar Smith in that the offense needs like special accommodations to do anything
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:30 (seven years ago) link
wow Clowney, damn
Holy shit Clowney
― frogbs, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:30 (seven years ago) link
foreeeeever to throw just now. nice
― FREE BRADY (daria-g), Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:31 (seven years ago) link
pushoff by Edelman, so shocked
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:31 (seven years ago) link
still a good result for the Texans going into halftime. few people thought this one would be close.
but seriously they're only scoring on a double reverse flea flicker lateral if they score again at all. their offense is so vanilla New England could shut it down in their sleep.
gonna have to win with field position and giving up passes like that won't do it
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:32 (seven years ago) link
outside of their tendency to give up 40 yard pass plays, this Houston defense is playing excellently
― frogbs, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:33 (seven years ago) link
I felt like the decision to drop back into coverage was the right one there tho
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:34 (seven years ago) link
Houston's gotta be really reeling from that kick return tho.
td saving tackle by Clowney
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:36 (seven years ago) link
woooooow
is New England averse to running or somethin
holyyyyyyyy shit
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:37 (seven years ago) link
man that's a huge stand
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:38 (seven years ago) link
unreal that the Pats didnt score a TD there
― frogbs, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:38 (seven years ago) link
don't get why they threw on second down, that woulda been the down to run, as the defense had to sell out a little bit to account for a pass.
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:40 (seven years ago) link
kick return TD would be nice here
Simms all "Osweiler has to be happy with the way he played", is he fucking high? he was mediocre as hell. 10 points scored on drives that started in field goal range, and took a clever reverse fake to get the TD.
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:43 (seven years ago) link
lol Brock 13 of 20 for 83 yards. 4.2 yards/attempt. basically using their passing game as a secondary run game, not gonna cut it.
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:46 (seven years ago) link
lol the spread on this game was Patriots by 16.5? wish I'd come out of gambling retirement to have taken that one.
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:52 (seven years ago) link
I got in at texans +16. Considering they hadnt scored a td in the last 3 games vs the Pats that seems about right
― frogbs, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:56 (seven years ago) link
yeah I mean Patriots could cover that easily in most iterations of this matchup but in the playoffs against the #1 defense, only takes one or two one-off mistakes not to cover even if you otherwise dominate the game.
― Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 02:59 (seven years ago) link
Miller's been like the only bright spot for the offense.
ladies and gentleman, Brock Osweiler

Andy putting a lot of unearned faith in his D here
― Neanderthal, Monday, 16 January 2017 04:11 (seven years ago) link
Green Bay's D did do pretty good with sacks especially in the second half. Their DBs are completely tore up and I would not be surprised they will have a guy they hire off the street that might play next week.
― earlnash, Monday, 16 January 2017 04:11 (seven years ago) link

Packers and Steelers Superbowl would be pretty iconic thou.
― earlnash, Monday, 16 January 2017 04:22 (seven years ago) link
could have a rematch of 2011's Super Bowl, or could have a rematch of 1996, or .....could have Atlanta.
wouldn't mind seeing new blood take it tbh
― Neanderthal, Monday, 16 January 2017 04:26 (seven years ago) link
as exciting as the last two minutes of the GB/DAL game was it really was marred by a couple of really bad coaching decisions - McCarthy deciding to run it on 2nd down at the Dallas 34 was incredibly dumb, basically playing for the long FG with a kicker who's historically really shaky in these situations, 1:30 and all 3 timeouts is an eternity and your defense is totally gassed, lo and behold they get it in FG range in two plays. then Garrett outdoes him by spiking the ball despite having :50 left, which is idiotic, that's like the one thing everyone knows about Aaron Rodgers right now DON'T LEAVE HIM ANY TIME ON THE CLOCK
anyway my heart rate is finally back to normal. Crosby's second attempt at the game winner looked like such a shank at first.
― frogbs, Monday, 16 January 2017 04:28 (seven years ago) link
thank God he blew the ball to the right
― Neanderthal, Monday, 16 January 2017 04:29 (seven years ago) link
yeah I was watching the game w/ my Packer fan friend who was apoplectic when they tied it and I was like "dude - 35 seconds to go 35-40 yards for Aaron Rodgers?".....

― lag∞n, Monday, 16 January 2017 04:40 (seven years ago) link

― lag∞n, Monday, 16 January 2017 04:41 (seven years ago) link
seems possible, depending on ball inflation
― mookieproof, Monday, 16 January 2017 04:41 (seven years ago) link

― FREE BRADY (daria-g), Monday, 16 January 2017 05:07 (seven years ago) link
turns out crippling food poisoning goes with watching alex smith play qb like a nice sauternes goes with the dessert course.
― call all destroyer, Monday, 16 January 2017 05:11 (seven years ago) link
rewatching that sack on Rodgers in the 4th, I cannot believe he held onto the ball there. like 80% of the QBs in the league fumble when they get hit like that, including Rodgers who has turned it over that way many times (most notably in OT during that Wild Card game vs. Arizona). damn this game had all the elements of the gutpunch loss, except the actual loss.
― frogbs, Monday, 16 January 2017 05:21 (seven years ago) link
weird; neither of these players are dan snyder employees
