This list is fucked! A lot of classics hanging near the bottom. The episodes/moments in the top ten are truly amazing though. Long live Pepe Silvia!

I believe they are signed up to do two more seasons beyond the one starting in January. From what I understand, it's a pretty huge hit as a streaming show.

On April 1, 2016, the series was renewed for a thirteenth and fourteenth season, which will tie it with The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet as the longest running live-action sitcom in American TV history.[4]

"The Gang Wrestles for the Troops" is waaaay too low on that list

a serious and fascinating fartist (Simon H.), Sunday, 15 January 2017 19:09 (seven years ago) link

mac is a trump voter, frank too

like, irl?

flopson, Sunday, 15 January 2017 19:22 (seven years ago) link

nah, not IRL, cos Devito came out against Trump, and McElhenney has RTed very anti-Trump posts. probably means the characters themselves

Neanderthal, Sunday, 15 January 2017 19:33 (seven years ago) link

ya i meant the characters

lag∞n, Monday, 16 January 2017 04:35 (seven years ago) link

loved dennis passion for the grift lol

lag∞n, Monday, 16 January 2017 04:36 (seven years ago) link

serious question -- is dennis a trump voter? i think he'd admire the narcissism but ultimately side with dee who obv can't stand him

k3vin k., Monday, 16 January 2017 04:52 (seven years ago) link

imo trump is too down market for dennis

lag∞n, Monday, 16 January 2017 04:53 (seven years ago) link

I think he'd see him as too Frank-like.

szyslakial moescreancy (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Monday, 16 January 2017 06:54 (seven years ago) link

I doubt the Gang actually vote

Number None, Monday, 16 January 2017 07:52 (seven years ago) link

yeah they dont theyve said as much but if they were to or maybe mac and frank were moved to by trump

lag∞n, Monday, 16 January 2017 13:15 (seven years ago) link

In The Gang Run For Office, i believe they refer to themselves or the gang as running as republicans. Got to assume these fictional characters would be anti hilary and pro trump.

plums (a hoy hoy), Monday, 16 January 2017 14:42 (seven years ago) link

there's no way half of these characters are registered to vote and prob think that luring people to voting locations is some sort of conspiracy

mh 😏, Monday, 16 January 2017 15:04 (seven years ago) link

frank is probably still writing in some disgraced politician of yesteryear in if he does vote

mh 😏, Monday, 16 January 2017 15:05 (seven years ago) link

"The Gang
Votes for Trump"

lag∞n, Monday, 16 January 2017 15:20 (seven years ago) link

Dennis and Dee sort of fancy themselves progressives I think. Mac deffo a Trump man, Frank probably. Charlie surely doesn't have a clue.

chap, Monday, 16 January 2017 17:13 (seven years ago) link

dennis and dee are def liberalish but i think trump's chauvinism might have been a attraction to dennis

k3vin k., Monday, 16 January 2017 17:17 (seven years ago) link

tomi lahren and i wouldn't regret it a bit

I hope Trump is just D.E.N.N.I.S.ing America, since it means eventually he'll Separate Entirely.

evol j, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 14:21 (seven years ago) link

surely someone else will M.A.C. and we'll be left with Frank's scraps (it's not an acronym )

mh 😏, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 15:16 (seven years ago) link

Charlie can't read, probably won't vote

voodoo chili, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 16:26 (seven years ago) link

jeez if we can't wanna bang hot chicks i guess we're all dennis

k3vin k., Tuesday, 17 January 2017 16:28 (seven years ago) link

god I'm sifting through the seasons I fell behind on, started with ten yesterday, and went to the group dating ep and was dying every time Frank blew the whistle and they aborted.

still nothing funnier than when Frank pulls out a gun tho

Neanderthal, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 17:50 (seven years ago) link

the group dating ep and was dying every time Frank blew the whistle and they aborted.

Haha, is that the one where he does a pep talk something like "all we gotta do is get our names right", then goes up to a girl and says "Hi, I'm Frack"?

chap, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 17:53 (seven years ago) link

hahaha yes

Neanderthal, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 18:01 (seven years ago) link

S11 was really top quality, I don't think there was really a bad episode in the bunch. And the 2-part finale is some kind of apex, esp the second half.

Οὖτις, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 18:11 (seven years ago) link

I'm hard-pressed to think of a live-action show that has been as consistently good for as long as Sunny. Cheers, maybe?

voodoo chili, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 18:17 (seven years ago) link

nah Cheers quality drops significantly after Long leaves imo

Just looking through episode descriptions and you might be right. 9 and 10 were very patchy on the other hand iirc.

can't contain my excitement at the upcoming episode entitled "Making Dennis Reynolds a Murderer"

though this is even more twisted:

"Wolf Cola: A Public Relations Nightmare" (Airs January 25, 10 PM ET/PT) Franks Fluids LLC is in big trouble after a news segment shows Wolf Cola has become the official drink of Boko Haram.

i dont really like when they go high concept, the ski ep, the cruise ship etc, gets a lil schticky

lag∞n, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 19:16 (seven years ago) link

no mention of macs out gayness yet this season

lag∞n, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 19:17 (seven years ago) link

the revolutionary war one was good imo xp

iirc he went back in the closet as soon as the boat started flooding

mh 😏, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 19:24 (seven years ago) link

yeah he was only temporarily "out" during brief period when he thought there was no god. But God then proceeded to sink the ship etc.

some of the best eps are high-concept too, though maybe in a different way - like "dennis work" and "the gang tries to win an award" are both pretty high-concept

imo the show is consistently inconsistent. each season has a couple of duds, a couple of gems, and a bunch of pretty good eps.

na (NA), Tuesday, 17 January 2017 19:28 (seven years ago) link

really appreciate the occasional reminder of how bad they are at running the bar, like the one from a recent season where Charlie steps up to the task of passing a health inspection despite the fact everyone else is trying to run some tainted meat scam

mh 😏, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 19:30 (seven years ago) link

man the ski trip episode is a classic, for this scene alone:

voodoo chili, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 19:32 (seven years ago) link

that's "charlie work," which is what i meant to type before instead of "dennis work"

na (NA), Tuesday, 17 January 2017 19:32 (seven years ago) link

for some reason I thought a previous episode was Charlie Work! but yeah, a+

PARTY MOUNTAIN

Οὖτις, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 19:34 (seven years ago) link

feel like some of the earlier episodes that originated stupid recurring gags get shortchanged in lists. I have a soft spot for "The Gang Gets Invincible" even if the whole green man persona was gimmicky

the reveal that Frank's entire acid trip took place while he was standing in a trash can really established his whole unreliable narrator persona

mh 😏, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 19:38 (seven years ago) link

kind of want them to bring back Lil' Kev again as a successful rapper

mh 😏, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 19:44 (seven years ago) link

my favorite sunny moment is in the intervention episode when they tell frank the bar is on fire and he comes in with his gun out yelling "where's the fire!?!!?" that whole episode is great tho.

also someone pointed out in the comments section of that gawker list that pepe silvia is likely charlie trying to read pennsylvania. i had never thought of that before.

dynamicinterface, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 19:49 (seven years ago) link

and "Carol" is "Care Of"

evol j, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 20:56 (seven years ago) link

yeh think one of the writers debunked that as coincidence
