Slow Knife has some real deep cuts, particularly the title track and "In Your Sleep". I love how the first track is an inversion of a track off "Severant", it gives it a feeling of familiarity but it's also warped and less optimistic sounding. Overall the record is a bit of a mixed bag because it's so disjointed, but there's something beguiling about it. Love the overly processed Twin Peaks horn shuffle of "Under The Surface".

New Kuedo album Infinite Window out July 29. I liked the first two tracks out so far. The cover art is epic.

The Pitchfork review of the new Kuedo is mostly spot on: https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/kuedo-infinite-window/

There are so many tantalisingly good moments, but they don't quite go anywhere. There's a lot of tension and anxiety, but no real relief. Overall it's a frustrating listen.

I may still buy the LP for the cover art alone though lol

Also the second half often feels like 'Kuedo does Oneohtrix Point Never'. Except it's not as taut or dynamic or fun as OPN.
