8. Ian William Craig - Centres

I've been trying this one off and on since it came out but it's just not connecting. Loved his first two. I guess I'm put off by the vocals being higher in the mix this time around.

I keep meaning to listen to that bee thing. There was a liveish surround sound performance of it in the Glade at Glastonbury this year but it was shitting down at the time and I wasn't really in the mood.

From Quietus list and on NPR one too. Seymali and her rockin guitarist husband and band are edging out Bombino for the North African desert music slot on a few lists.

Kinda surprised how underrepresented the year's big prestige emo albums are on a lot of these lists. But that may just be a reflection of the fact that 2016 was a strong year for a lot of music

Why the fuck are the Fat White Family on any of these lists? They're awful. I played with them once and as soon as they got there they asked the promoter where to score crack and then bounced w/o a soundcheck. Their music was horrible.

That sounds kind of like the essence of 2016 to me.
