my point was that peep has probably the same audience as yung lean. I know some young yung lean fans, lil peep sounds like something they should be into.

i missed this thread the first time around, but it is a treat. i enjoyed Joan's 'grunge harmonies' posts.

i heard this when it came out because i kinda know one of the producers, whose vibe is very much mall punk + witchy/cloudy/sad boy rap. i get it and it might be the best-executed thing i've heard in this style, but is still basically unlistenable for me personally.

also on that Lil Tracy track either the vocal track is misaligned or he's just mad out of time. sounds like the former to me. i know there's a lot of tolerance for that as a sound post-Lil B but i cannot take it.

that reminds me, Digable Planets are playing here tomorrow and I can't bag my friend's election party to go see them ;_;

I'm still lolling that peep's most frequent collaborator is the son of a member of digable planets this whole thread is a bunch of ppl basically admitting they've given up on following where the culture is headed

I prioritize what sounds good/is interesting to listen to over concern about "where culture is headed"

if "this whole thread ... basically admitting" means straight years of petulant deeply entrenched incurious revelry then yeah

someone is mistaking "where the culture is headed" for "what deej and some guy at pitchfork fancy atm."
