Jake Peavy: Wants to Stay in NLRotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com Peavy, who the Padres are open to trading, is likely unwilling to approve a trade to the American League, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Recommendation: Peavy’s agent said Peavy would like to stay in the N.L. because of his comfort level in the league and his productivity at the plate (he hit .265 last season). He also mentioned Peavy wanting to end up on a team with “a winning tradition” and in a city that fit “his and his family’s lifestyle.” Peavy still maintains that his first choice is to stay in San Diego, so all of this chatter may be for nothing, but the Padres are taking their due diligence by gauging his trade value. Peavy’s agent mentioned Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and St. Louis as potential destinations.
