It maybe doesn't count as it's a mix by the original artist, but DJ Pierre's Wild Pitch mix of Photon Inc's "Generate Power" is utter genius.
It counts for me ... lots of artists remix themselves. And I'll second the "Generate Power" remix ... incredible.
the 12 inch of new order's bizarre love triangle is their own remix though isn't it ?
The version on "Substance" is Shep Pettibone, if that's what you're talking about.

Alfred's list is really good but it's heavy on the 80s and 90s. I'm interested in putting together a playlist of pop/indie remixes from the past 10-15 years or so. stuff like:
