New album, "Winter" just came out and it's more of what you love from NMA. They bring back the guitars and tone down the tribal feeling of "Between Dog And Wolf". This is their 13th album and while some are better than others, each one is chock full of angry folk-rock goodness.

on track 4 of the new one and... really enjoying it. massive gulf between the quality of some of their recent material and the almost complete lack of publicity/press attention. will they ever get a critical reevaluation i wonder...

Probably not. I really dig the new one, too, which continues to merge the brilliant tribal feeling of "Between Dog & Wolf" with their folk-rock sound. Justin's lyrics continue to reflect my view of the world as well. And he revisited his utterly captivating solo album, "Navigating By The Stars", on the track "Conversation"!

Justin Sullivan has a new solo album out, "Surrounded", and while it doesn't reach the tremendous highs of his first solo LP, it's very good.
