I was fascinated and terrified by this show as a kid and barely understood a moment of it.

ha, same. first time i watched it my mum said something like: there's a cartoon on on bbc 2 in 5 minutes. it was the pilot, there was lots of killing, some sex stuff, and then at the end she steps on a tack and falls to her death, i was confused
