brady, maroney, moss, donte stallworth, ben watson, and either wes welker or reche caldwell at the #3 wide out is a huge improvement over last year.

Yeah, it's too bad Favre can't end his FUN-HAVING career while throwing to Moss in triple coverage (instead of throwing to the usual suspects in triple coverage).

i agreee with leee (lol do u c wut i did there), tho most of those secret racists are probably from new england

cankles, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 16:58 (sixteen years ago) link

cankles, have you ever been to new england? boston is actually far less racist than chicago but no one hides it back there. here it's under the surface but it's there, it may not come out all the time but it's always there.

there are very few "secret" racists in new england.

chicago kevin, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 17:46 (sixteen years ago) link

dude i was born in brookline, i know new england. and yeah, as soon as i posted i knew i should've corrected the 'secret' part, but the most blatant racism i've ever seen was in massechusets. and i've lived in georgia for most of my life.

cankles, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 17:51 (sixteen years ago) link

you can't even spell massachusetts dude! all i'm saying is i've seen more racists in my 7 years in chicago than i did in 27 years in boston. and more hateful, vitriolic racists too, not casual off color joking types of things.

chicago kevin, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 18:52 (sixteen years ago) link

l.a. is more racist than either

nigga i aint talkin bout chicago!!!!!!! i'm just saying that bostonians are hella racialist - on the scale of racialism in order of vulgarity/racism, boston pps are just below puerto ricans (and other pps who carry boxcutters), actual racists (white power pps, the kkk, neo nazis, that guy who broke geraldo rivera's nose, jimmy the greek), and the japanese.

between the way they went home last year and this year's recruitment, if they don't get #4, it'll basically have to be because everybody died, or belichick just stops giving a shit and decides he wants to be a painter halfway through october. Same thing really.

This is the greatest day. I was honored to have season tickets to the Vikings all through the Moss era so I know how special he is, how electrifying.

I would honestly pay just to have him on the team even if he didn't play.

I know ppl hate the Vikes now because of Favre and I can't blame you, we sacrificed some measure of who we were in a vain attempt for a Superbowl...but this feels right in a lot of ways, Randy's coming home to us, where he belongs.

how long is vince young out for? Moss is perfect for a guy like kerry collins, who can unload the long ball. this could be bad for vince.

enjoying this excerpt:

It's not surprising that Vikings owner Zygi Wilf has been hanging around Winter Park the past few days. What is surprising is that he was able to make it past the pitchforks, flaming torches and "Fire Childress" banners to get to the Vikings' practice facility.

Having Zygi snacking in the team cafeteria just adds to the general creepiness surrounding the Vikings this week. He's not exactly one of the boys. And his presence often leads to plenty of eye rolling. Obviously, he's trying to gauge the temperature of his team. But not being much of a football guy, Zygi couldn't figure out the team's temperature if he went from locker to locker with a basal thermometer.

If he could figure it out, however, he'd discover that the temperature is about what it always is. The majority of Vikings players never will break into a chorus of "For he's a jolly good fellow ..." when Childress walks into the room. But they are professional, and they want to win. So they look past the circus and try to concentrate on the next football game.
