I've started to look at my greater indulgences when I was younger as maybe having been good in some ways. The idea that it's good to do things you want as long as you're not endangering yourself. At least you're not repressing something inside yourself. The health issue with substances is complicated. Repressing your desires is maybe not so healthy, for one thing! And a lot of substances that are abused actually have positive aspects to them, health-wise -- the old thing about a little alcohol being good or the herb effects of plant substances. I mean, there's a reason why you want them. Even using things decadently maybe has its place. The point is to not let any of them really get in the way of anything important or fuck your health up.

That said, I'm a dad and I don't want to mess with shit that's illegal.
