There's a shirt store called kwijibo[sic] in San Francisco. It's a misspelt simpsons reference :)

What is kwijibo?

I like when Jub-Jub, Selma's iguana is mentioned.

From Wikipedia:

Kwyjibo
Kwyjibo (IPA: /?kw?d?i?bo/) is a fictitious word made up by Bart Simpson during a game of Scrabble with his family. In the episode "Bart the Genius," Bart puts "Kwyjibo" on the board, scoring more than 150 points. When Homer demands Bart say what a Kwyjibo is, Bart replies, "A big, dumb, balding North American ape… with no chin." Marge adds in, "…and a short temper." At this point, Homer chases Bart away, causing him to exclaim, "Uh oh! Kwyjibo on the loose!"

I love the formal "causing him to exclaim" in that excerpt. It makes The Simpsons seem more scholarly.

I read an amusing piece in a magazine about a ten year-old who impressed his teacher by starting an essay with the phrase "it is a great paradox that in order to have freedom, we must have law and order". It turned out to be a quote from The Simpsons.

Like when I quoted Thoreau and my teacher was impressed-=- but the quote come from a constantly repeated MTV commercial on at the time. Of course, I was old enough at the time to be familiar with Thoreau.
