Ah this sounds GREAT. Alas I don't think I can listen to BBC Four here and I missed the one on Ruskin. Then again, I didn't much care for his writing. It just didn't click with me. SHOOT ME, I'm an idiot. :-(((

They ahve real audio archives for the whole series, but you have to listen online.

Toby, I have the Karl Marx Mp3 (and Marlowe, Merlin and KT boundary). I'll work out some way of giving you access to it.

I like the fact that In Our Time was apparently created purely to give MB something to do for Radio 4, after they decided he was too politically biased to keep doing Start The Week.

thanks, ed. wouldn't mind the others except the merlin, actually - maybe slsk or yousendit?

while we're at it, if anyone wants them, i have the mp3s of merlin, archeology and imperialism, modernist utopias, cambrian explosion, king alfred, and dark energy.

I'd love them all apart from merlin. I'll burn then to a CD and give it to you thurs/fri/w/e.

i just learned of these pods. they often move so quickly that 1x is plenty fast (well, for me). choosing eps from itunes is quite fun, too.

When we get around to liquidating the BBC, this brilliant program I would defend to the death.

Note to self: the Blue-ringed octopus is very pretty but would rather never meet one.

the carl gauss ep reminded me of my math and history ignorance with non-stop astounding, amazing information. i sorta wanna relisten first, then learn more about his work, and then walk around telling people about gauss.

loved the The Mexican-American War ep. There must been some big lols amongst Mexican nobility when a year after losing an enormous swathe of their country to the US, they found out it was practically made out of gold.
