Listening to Californication right now and, aside from marvelling at how such a huge-selling and popular record sounds like COMPLETE FUCKING SHIT, 'Otherside' came on and I was suddenly like "huh, they've ripped off 'Time Waits For No One' by The Rolling Stones" ... I've never noticed it before!

Has anyone heard of Addie Brik? She released an EP in 1984 that was produced by Hillel Slovak. This song features Slovak, Jack Irons, and Flea. Not quite like a female-fronted RHCP, but an interesting work. Some serious cultural appropriation going on in this video
