Kind of gothier than them tho no?

Idk I have only passing awareness of paramore

Listen to my homeboy Fantano (D-40), Sunday, 22 May 2016 03:58 (seven years ago) link

This stuff feels darker or more self serious or s/thing

Listen to my homeboy Fantano (D-40), Sunday, 22 May 2016 04:05 (seven years ago) link

Paramore were (arguably still are) more goth and self-serious than is implied by like "Still Into a You" - check "Misery Business", "Decode", "Ignorance" etc.

Also my eternal broken heart favourite "All I Wanted"

'fire' was the theme song for last night's wwe pay per view. pretty rad to hear a lady's voice in and out of the breaks between matches.

It's like Paramore's "Part II" meets Taylor's "Style".

hi i finally had time to listen to this record. their sense of emotional scale is canyon-wide, and i love that they have so many different textures (basically a continuum of very good fluid gothy emo band <---------> star destroyer synths) and that i get to hear them cycle through every single one of them in every single song. massive improvement on the debut, what a cool band

I tried with these guys before and thought it was OK but not for me but "Death Of Me" and "Hallucinations" are such a gigantic leap forward and this new EP is excellent

boxedjoy, Tuesday, 29 October 2019 15:32 (four years ago) link

This is so Version 2.0 it's unreal

boxedjoy, Saturday, 29 August 2020 06:54 (three years ago) link

New album is very “hmm maybe the last album was not Version 2.0 enough”. I’m not sure what I think of it but it’s a LOT and kind of impressive in its commitment to the bit
