i have portable kitchen island right now with a wood top. careful with putting your roast yams on there, the skin is hard to get off. that's my kitchen island tip.

I've been looking at a lot of photos of celebrity kitchens and I feel like Ellen Degeneres is one of the few celebs who appreciates kitchen islands on a deep level. I'm gonna have to dig through the KI Forum archives and figure out which poster is secretly Ellen because she is obviously a part of the fandom whether or not she admits to it publicly.

I feel like a lot of these are in an uncanny valley of interior design, where they're so close to being really nice that they're ugly.

Some are just nice though. I can't really find fault with 19, 21 and 22 for example.

after diving back into a bunch of minimal techno following the pfork IDM list, just discovered Deepchord Presents Echospace - Liumin. Great stuff here, dub/ambient techno, but there's a couple of tracks with deeply obscured disco samples that almost come out as vaporwaved house tracks. always finding more...
