IMO the European way of writing dates like DAY/MONTH/YEAR is completely logical: from the smallest unit to the largest. The American ways of starting with the second smallest, then the smallest, then the largest, is weird. Though I guess there's some explanation to it that has to do with some filing system?

Ah, okay. So in the English-speaking countries you can't writer "fifteenth" as "15."? In here adding the period after a number means that it's an ordinal number.

You know, I think I learned that in high school German but promptly forgot it and thought it was just a weird stylistic quirk

yeah! I didn't know how the date format worked there before, it is cool (but it did confuse me at first... when I see "NAME, NUMBER." I think age e.g. "Will, 12."

I don't mind the American, etc. way of setting the date. Kind of a in a Section II, Paragraph 3 of the Document sorta way.

But no periods in phone numbers. Your phone number is not an IP address.
