Either I did something wrong or LastFM is completely screwed up. I guess it doesn't matter because it only seems to update my currently playing list about once a year.

Yeah, it's buggy for all I think. I make it a point to not play anything not tagged well, but it still seems to stop recording at random.

Sometimes if I check it a day or two later, a large stockpile of played songs will suddenly show up tough.

Obv. lots of Ice Cube at the moment due to my tossoff paper on Death Certificate. Is there an ILM group on this ish?

I created an ilXor audioscrobbler group if anyone else wants to join it.

I'm glad to see people are still using this - about half of this thread seems to be people who have had problems and couldn't be arsed to fix them.

-- someone let this mitya out!

I'm using it again... it was really, really shit for far too long though. I just left it alone & blank till they sorted it, I have no patience.

Oh, and for those who were wondering about the group picture, it says "Less of this" under the makeup and "More of this" under the guitars. But of course you already knew that because you're a smart person.

How Mainstream Are Your Last FM Charts?

Rock 'n Roll! You are 7.94 % mainstream!

Brigadier Lethbridge-Pfunkboy, Thursday, 22 March 2007 02:00 (seventeen years ago) link

This guy is the most mainstream http://www.last.fm/user/tommyvyo/ I wonder if he is related to geir

Brigadier Lethbridge-Pfunkboy, Thursday, 22 March 2007 02:03 (seventeen years ago) link

i am 18.98 % mainstream, apparently.

grimly fiendish, Thursday, 22 March 2007 23:44 (seventeen years ago) link

17.84% apparently. Putting on the Beatles back catalogue and then falling asleep for 16 hours probably skewed the results somewhat (I only like about 3 Beatles songs and seldom listen to them).

jim, Thursday, 22 March 2007 23:50 (seventeen years ago) link

It only judges you on your top 30 artists. So it's not that accurate really.

Brigadier Lethbridge-Pfunkboy, Thursday, 22 March 2007 23:53 (seventeen years ago) link

From the comments of one of the guys who has the top mainstream tastes:

riazor said: Send a Private Message to riazor

Incubus, Wolfmother, Foo Fighters is NOT mainstream in my opinion, do you ever hear them on the national radio stations? nor do they appear twice or more in hotlists

Dom Passantino, Friday, 23 March 2007 00:09 (seventeen years ago) link

7.51% mainstream. although according to the results, most of the users are non-mainstream - which establishes non-mainstream as the new mainstream, surely?
